Ceramic and Metal Vases with Napoleon
7,900,00 € (VAT INCLUDED)
Pair of 19th-century vases. Made of ceramic, they are decorated with blue enamel and golden details featuring floral motifs. On the front is a reproduction of the famous painting “Bonaparte Crossing the Great St. Bernard” by Jacques-Louis David, depicting Napoleon on his trusted horse Marengo as they cross the Alps in Italy. Both the vases and the paintings of Napoleon are entirely handmade. The bases and the swan-shaped handles are made of gilded metal.
