Oil on panel attributable to the 17th century, executed in the manner of Philipp Peter Roos, known as Rosa da Tivoli (1657–1706). The subject depicts a pastoral scene with animals, typical of the artist’s work and his circle. On the back of the panel, a partially legible red wax seal is visible, bearing the name ‘F. J. Castelain,’ likely linked to a previous owner, collector, or certifying entity. The painting has been carefully preserved and exhibits a patina consistent with its age, as well as stylistic elements characteristic of the German master working in Italy.
